When Grace was supposed to be at school . . .

Caden had a conference and no school so I waited for her to be counted "present" at the 9am attendance bell deadline and then pulled her from school. We went to the zoo with Caden's buddy Abbi, Ava (her little sister), and Ashli. We had a lot of fun and the kids had a blast!

Caden found a frog statue :)

We had a great time!

Baby Shower

My dear friend Holly had her baby shower this weekend in Flower Mound. It was so good to see her and it had been too long since I had seen her last. . . You can see that she looks absolutely amazing!! I never looked that good pregnant - she definitely has the glow.

To Holly:

When I saw you walk in the door to the shower I wanted to burst into tears. I know how hard you have tried to get to this point in your life. Three pregnancies and this is your first baby. I am in awe of your strength of character and how you have taken this journey and turned it into a stepping stone in your life rather than the insurmountable mountain that it could have been. This baby girl has an amazing role model in you. I love you dearly and can't wait to see her little face! I also can't wait to hear her name - grrr!! I better be on the call list when you head to the hospital!!

xxoo,
Kristin

The Biggest Loser: Couples . . .

This show is AWESOME!! Chris and I have become addicted to it. To see the before and after shots of these people is just amazing. We are down to the final four contestants with the finale being tomorrow. I predict that Ali is going to win it all!! I hope that Roger gets to stay and I hope that Mark goes home. . . although as hard as he has worked he probably should have a shot to win.

It's a truly inspirational show that demonstrates how with a lot of hard work and eating healthy you can achieve your goals!! Gotta love reality TV!!

Bittersweet . ..

My transfer was approved yesterday from my G/T specialist at Thomas Elementary to 5th grade teacher at Mathews. I am very excited to accept my new challenge, but at the same time I am very sad to leave Thomas and Lynn. We have a lot of mutual respect for one another and that's going to be hard to leave. On the other hand, I get to walk to my school every day with my kids and peek in on Caden as needed . . . you can't put a price on that!! Chris told me that he was going to get me a pimped out golf cart to take to school . . . can't you just see me now?!?

Officially a Boy Mom . . .

Today is Caden's 5th birthday!! It's crazy to think that 5 years ago I was in the hospital recovering from my 2nd c-section. Sweet little boy!!

Okay, So we all know that Caden is OBSESSED with frogs. He has books, stuffed animals, t-shirts, webkinz, etc. He knows how to spell f-r-o-g frontwards and backwards - literally. It's crazy!!! So for his birthday all he wanted was a frog. I was pretty okay with it until I realized that they eat LIVE crickets. GROSS!! Caden told me, "I know that Santa can't do live animals (ha, ha!) BUT you can give me one for my birthday." GULP. Too smart for his own good . . . I gave in. Caden got two fire bellied toads for his birthday. 5 bucks each with $120 worth of "stuff". Who's the sucker now? He has named them Camo and Fire. Hopefully they will last a while. Gotta love big sister coaching him on the naming of the frogs. I'll spare you the video of the frog eating the cricket. OMG!!

Won't You Be Our Neighbor . . .

The house behind us is for sale . . . any takers?!? I promise that I won't use your pool unless you give us permission (wink, wink)

Caden's 5th Birthday Party

We had a small group of close friends to Main Event for a bowling party. I think that we all had a great time with a frog cake and favors - of course!!
