Sweet Grace

I just have to take a minute to brag on my precious little girl. She is at the age right now where a lot of her friends are starting to form little groups and I've seen how Grace handles herself in these situations - a definite perk of being at school with her. For example, one of her little friends came up to her yesterday and said,
"X is coming to MY house after school today," to which Grace replied,
"You really shouldn't talk about people coming to your house when not everyone is invited. That's how people's feelings get hurt." GO GRACE!!! Then the little girl said, "Well, I don't really care what you think...and a bunch of other stuff" GRRR... Girls and their petty little digs. I can't believe that it starts so young, but I'm so proud of Grace for telling her like it is. I told Grace that she should have just turned to her and said, "that's great. I sure hope that you guys have fun." and walk away. I know that it's a lot easier said than done, but good grief. I have a feeling that we've got a long road ahead of us with girl drama and I'm so thankful that I have a sweet one :)

I love that you took the time to brag on her...that is a very hard thing to do! Good for her! I know you are proud of her and rightfully so!

She sounds like she has such a great head on her shoulders...and girl drama is horrid!

Love this post!

You have taught Grace well! So proud of her :) Your post reminded me of something that one of my friends has started to combat girl drama - check out www.kindcampaign.com. Hope you all are well! Miss you lots!
